Moment of Realization

Today I had a moment of realization. What was it, you ask?

I am Graduating.
Tomorrow.
At 7 pm exactly.

This 12 year period of my life is over. 12 years is a long time friends.

I will be a for-reals grown up. Making my own decisions. Gone are the days when people just told me what to do.

My friends are nervous. Me? I'm excited. Sure, there was that moment of shock, but it was brief to say the least. :)

Basically, I just can't wait. For college and life and everything. Shhh. Don't tell. But I am even excited to go to the singles ward. I know right? Crazy.

18

It's official, I'm an adult. Yay :) My birthday was kind of exciting!

Friday, Beau sent me flowers at school :D And took me to get Sushi :D and then we watched a movie at his house.

Saturday was my very first parade! I love it. The little kids make it SO worth it. They love seeing the "Princesses". It was also my BFF Brianne's wedding. I missed her coming out of the Temple because of my parade, but I made it to the luncheon. She is barely 19 and married already!! Even though that isn't exactly how I want my life to play out, I am glad she's happy. :)

Sunday was my for-reals birthday. (the 15th, I know, I am behind) The whole fam came over. My nieces and nephew all missed their nap, so it was a short night to say the least.

This Sunday was Seminary Graduation. It was short and sweet and to the point. Just how I like it. :) I didn't always love my Seminary teachers but I am glad I stuck it out. My diploma is pretty worth it :)

Next up, GRADUATION!! (and hopefully some super cool pics with my new super cool camera from momma and pops for graduation)

Side note: I just saw part of Oprah's last episode. I don't care who you are, Oprah is a classy, inspirational person. The End.

Graduation Announcment!!

Consider yourself invited!!! How cute did these turn out?! My cousin Crystal took these, she's super talented.
What a crazy life I have. I know I keep saying that, but I think it's because I am hoping (mostly in vain) that if I keep complaining it will get less crazy. No such luck though. This last week I had my first AP test experience. NOT FUN. Not even a tiny bit.  Four hours of pure torture. Seriously. I got a migraine after. The best news? I had another one today! Love my life. :)

This week is also my best friend's wedding (much less glamorous and funny than the movie, I promise). It's also my birthday. And my first parade as Miss Hyrum. And possibly the Sunday I speak in church as a "Graduating Senior" I'm planning on taking a REAL long nap as soon as this week is over!

Graduation is right around the corner. Literally. I am so excited. :) Did I tell ya'll I will be speaking? Well, not like you are imagining right now, but still. :) I am part of the valedictorian group that does a skit. We are the Departmental Speakers. I didn't think it would happen, but I AM graduating High School with a 4.0!!! I think I deserve a gold star. :) Or just the white ribbons I will get to wear during Graduation. That's good enough for me. :)

This week has FINALLY felt like spring. Maybe even Spring with a little Summer on the way. And I can't wait! This summer hopefully has a lot of new and exciting things in store for me. This last week I've been studying outside in the warm weather. I even got a little teeny tiny bit sunburned!!

I'm sure you've all heard by now, but my mom is doing GREAT! She had a bi-lateral mastectomy on Tuesday April 26th. They tested her lymph nodes to see if the cancer had spread anywhere, and both tests came back negative. They also told her that the chances of her cancer spreading or coming back is less than 2%. She's too young for all of this. We all are. I feel like I am too young to be worried about cleaning the house and doing dishes and making dinner for the whole fam, all the while taking care of my Mom and trying to stay on top of school. I know I couldn't have made it through the last couple of weeks without the support of the rest of my family and our great friends and neighbors. :)
