Hello!!

Well, January is kicking my butt. It's soooo cold all of the time!
We've gotten two snow storms in the last week... We probably should have been grounded for both, but we weren't :)

So last week was pretty rough for me. You may have noticed the lack of email.. Sorry. :) I have just been pretty discouraged. We are having horrible luck finding people to teach... Like we find someone with real promise and something horrible happens and then they don't want to meet with us. A girls poor heart can only take so much, ya know?

Well, Friday was our interviews with president. He lovingly chastised me for being so hard on myself. He told me that I was a good missionary and that he was proud of the work we have been able to do.
He also told me not to miss out by being ungrateful for the things we do have. I really love president. He told me all about how sister Chen is doing in Chinatown. Part of me feels like I trained her too, even though she is older than me in the mission.

Sister Orme and I have been blessed with the opportunity to go tracting a lot this week :) we tracted this really ritzy neighborhood.... Most houses had basketball courts and swimming pools in the backyard! We met this awesome guy, Rich. He tried to tell us that he doesn't have any faith, but we helped him see otherwise ;) by the time we left he had agreed to read Moroni 10 and Facebook us about it. We haven't heard anything from him yet... But there is still hope.
:)

Sunday morning our ward mission leader texted us and uninvited us from ward council because it was PEC..... So that was awesome. Our investigator texted us and told us that she wouldn't be at church right after that, so we were pretty much batting 1000. After church we went to the Gianis for dinner. He has a daughter who is in California so they were talking about sister missionaries, and how they can get into places elders can't. Brother Giani kept bringing up all of these people that have been to church more frequently since we have been here... One of them was John who I really love, but always wonder if we made any difference for him. It was a pretty big tender mercy to have someone show me exactly where we have been able to touch lives.
The work here is definitely slower than I would like, but I have seen more progression here than anywhere else.

Sister Orme is halfway done with training! It has flown by. By the time we are done with training I will have been in Middletown for 6 months and I'll have 7 ish months left on the mission. Wow. Time flies.
PS- pictures will be posted soon :)
